Billing and technical support
I’m sorry there’s a problem with my payments page! Please check all of the details you've entered are correct and that the card you’re paying with matches the address you're entering. If you are receiving an error message regarding your zip code, please contact your bank to make sure you have the correct zip code/post code registered for that card.
If the problem continues, please contact my support team: team@theweekendwoodworker.com
No, I do not store any credit card information on the server.
I use Stripe.com, one of the most secure and reputable payment processors available. All card numbers are encrypted and decryption keys are stored on separate machines.
So your credit card details are perfectly safe!
Sorry about that! Sometimes these emails end up in spam folders and get automatically deleted after several days. Please check your spam folder. If your welcome email isn’t there, please contact my support team and they’ll resend your login details.
Also, if you are already a member of one course, your login details will be the same for all of my courses. So when you sign up for your second course, you won't receive another email with your login details. If you need help resetting your password or finding your username, just reach out to my team and they'll get you in!
Your username is the same email address that you signed up with when you purchased the course. If you can't remember what that is, check where you're receiving emails from me about the course, and this will be the email address you can use to log in.
Don't worry! You can change your password using the "Forgot Password" reset button on the login page.
This will send an email to the account you signed up with including a link to reset your password. If the email doesn't come through, please check your spam folder, or "other" inbox if you use Hotmail, as it may have landed there.
If you're having trouble with this, let my support team know and they'll be able to set you a new password.
The Weekend Woodworker and Powered Up both come with a 30-day risk-free guarantee.
The Weekend Workshop comes with a 14-day risk-free guarantee.
If you go through the projects and feel you haven't learned anything new about woodworking, write to my team at team@theweekendwoodworker.com and we will refund you 100% of the course fee.

Course Progression
The course is structured over six weeks, with a new project being released weekly from the day you join. I'll send you an email to let you know once that week's project is available to you. During the week, you’ll get the chance to watch the videos and gather the materials you’ll need to build the project at the weekend.
The course has five projects which are released weekly, starting from the day you join. Each Monday you'll receive an email from when that week's project is available. Each project has videos, step-by-step guides, skills walkthroughs, plans, material and lumber lists. You'll have everything you need in one place!
The projects are larger and more advanced than those in my Weekend Woodworker course, and I do not expect you to finish them in a single weekend (or even a week!)
You have lifetime access to the course, so there's no need to rush any of the projects. I encourage you to work through them at your own pace and enjoy them!
Since every woodworker’s needs are different, the course is entirely self-paced. From day 1, you can pick and choose the projects that will have the biggest impact on your shop and build them in an order and at a pace that makes sense for you.
So if you want to make every improvement, build every project, and completely revamp your shop, this course provides the in-depth guidance you need to start from the ground up.
And if you just want to add a few shop projects to help you get organized and make the most of your space, you can choose from 14 well-designed pieces and build them in the order that best suits your needs.
No matter how you choose to go through it, the course provides a clear strategy that allows you to plan your progress around your schedule, and continue making improvements as your woodworking evolves.
The videos will be released weekly. The first project will be available on the day you join, and the next one week later and so on. I'll send you an email each time the next project is released for you.
Once the videos are released, you can watch them at any time and build the projects whenever you like, so there are no time restrictions.
Absolutely – you have lifetime access to the course, so you won’t miss out on anything! However, for The Weekend Woodworker and Powered Up, I strongly recommend continuing the projects in order (rather than skipping one and coming back to it) as the skills in each project progress on the last.

Projects
A weekend!
I do cover additional finishing techniques that will give you the chance to see things through over a few weekday evenings, but the actual build all happens in a weekend.
(I don't recommend leaving projects unfinished, besides shop projects, but there are techniques that don't require additional days beyond Sunday: lacquer, oil, paint – and I demo all of these.)
These projects are larger and more challenging than those in The Weekend Woodworker. I have split the videos and step-by-step guides up into five or six days for each project, although of course the time it will take you to complete a project depends on how much time you get in your shop.
Remember, there is no rush. Some of the projects may take you a few weeks, and that's absolutely fine.
My aim in The Weekend Woodworker isn't to get you to follow everything exactly, but to teach you the principles of building so you can manage projects on your own. This is a great first opportunity to practice, and even if you don't have everything in the basic tool list and the material list for that project, you’ll be able to build it.
Don't worry if you don't have any dado blades – in the videos I explain how you can use your regular saw blade to make the necessary cuts.
Of course! The most common “workshop” for weekend builders and hobbyists is a small portion of a garage shared with cars. This is very practical and not difficult to set up. The key is staying organized and keeping your tools mobile and portable.
Check out the Setting up your Workshop section in The Weekend Woodworker for all my tips and tricks on setting up your woodworking space.
Of course! In The Weekend Woodworker, there’s even a bonus module on how you'll best be able to do so.
As well as super in-depth videos, every project comes with a write-up of the steps, as well as close-up pictures of specific skills you’ll be learning (much like my blog posts). For the moment, to safeguard the videos against piracy, they’re not downloadable.
You sure can, using a Chromecast to login to the members area on your mobile / tablet / computer and streaming from there, or using Airport if you have a Mac. And of course, a good old-fashioned HDMI cable from a laptop or computer to a TV will allow you to watch there too.
The Weekend Woodworker course
For those of you who live far from the lumber yard, or need to borrow a truck, I've made a complete checklist of everything you'll need for The Weekend Woodworker. Once logged in, just head to The Shed > Lumber Essentials. At the bottom of the page, you can download a complete lumber checklist.
For a complete list of tools, supplies and lumber, you can download this on the Introduction page, under "What you’ll need for the course".
